Bandipora, Dec 07: National conference senior leader and MLA Gurez Nazir Ahmad Khan on Saturday said that Bandipora district will get a four lane road from Samgrama to Athwatoo Bandipora.
Speaking with the Kashmir Despatch, Nazir Ahmad Khan said that the survey is going on to the four lane road which will connect Sangrama with Athwatoo later Gurez.
He also said that the National conference has already submitted the demand for the National highway status for Sringar to Gurez soon. “Will also request the Chief minister to create a specialist post in District hospital Bandipora so that the ICU ward will be made functional.”
“The vacant posts in our health department are almost fulfilled now we have radiologists, Anesthesia, and permanent gynecologists in Gurez valley. We are working to fill the vacant posts in the education department also and hope that too will be fulfilled soon.”
“We hope religious places will not be touched anywhere in the country; it can only bring violence nothing more than that,” he added.
Khan along with Senior congress leader and MLA Bandipora Nizam-ud-din Bhat and MLA Sonwari had also reviewed a joint meeting in mini secretariat Bandipora which was attended by Deputy commissioner Bandipora Manzoor Qadri, and other officers of various departments.
He further added, the center has promised to restore statehood after delimitation and assembly polls hoped it will be restored soon.
