Patients suffer due to non availability of radiologists at Truma hospital Pattan

Srinagar, 8 oct: Trauma hospital Pattan is functioning as a non covid facility in North Kashmir and is catering all emergency obstrical cases of Baramulla district.
There is no radiologist (medical officer) posted in hospital , though hospital has installed high end USG machine, which has been donated by a local buissneman from Singhpora Pattan Manzoor Ahmad Bhat few years ago.
Before 10 days Health department has given another USG machine to said hospital
Consequently patients are suffering due to lack of this essential diagnostic facility which forces them to go helter skelter.
Pertinently deputy commissioner Baramulla had assured Kashmir Despatch that he will arrange a radiologist for said facility on priority basis after delibrating with health officials before 15 days but nothing happened till date
The locals told Kashmir Despatch that if hospital is catering huge of rush of non covid pregnancies , then it is responsibility of administration to arrange a radiologist on priority basis as non availability of such an important diagnostic facility can prove disastrous for mother and baby.
Locals further said few medical officers who are diploma holders are attached in different hospitals they appeal LG and Advisors look into the matter and send a doctor as early as possible so that patients can not suffer.
