Politicians never prefer transparent politics in Kashmir: Abbas Naqvi

Kupwara, Nov 19: While hitting out hard on the political parties, BJP senior leader and minister for minority affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday said that ‘Khandani Guroor, Khanadani Suroor’ politics never allowed an open and transparent politics in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, he said an open and transparent political process should have been started earlier in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, however, the ‘dynastic politics never liked it’– a veiled reference to the political parties like National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party.
He said the dynastic politicians boycotted the grassroots level democratic process in Jammu and Kashmir on the pretext of restoration of Article 370 and today when these political parties realized that the restoration of Article 370 was next to impossible they are now going to contest elections.
The minister while replying to a question regarding security to political leaders, he said that those who were in need have been already provided with the requisite security cover.
