Pulwama, November 19 : An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in South Kashmir’s Pulwama village.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said gunfight erupted in Parigam area of Pulwama District on Thursday.
A police officer told Kashmir Despatch contact has been established with hidding militants and firing from both sides is on.
Earlier, a joint team of Army, SoG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area following inputs about the presence of militants.
The search operation turned into gunfight after hidding militants fired upon them.
