Baramulla : For the third straight day, normal life remained paralyzed as administration failed to restore essential services including inner link roads in north Kashmir’s Baramula parts.
Local administration in Baramulla have not been able to restore link roads in and around the town even after three days causing incontinence to the general public said group of shopkeepers to Kashmir Despatch who traveled kilometers by foot to reach market on Wednesday.
Residents of Ushkwara and other parts in Baramula town claimed that it is third straight day uncleared snow have blocked all main roads but sad part is administration hardly bother to restore it for general public. They said that if admin is claiming that man and machinery have been put in place to restore all link and inner link roads in town then why even after three days roads are yet to cleared.
The angry residents further said that administration’s claim over snow clearance measures to restore the roads is completely failed on ground and is only showoff.
The snowfall affected normal life badly in this north region especially in Baramulla parts and authorities are completely failed to clear snow from main roads said group of school going students.
They while talking with Kashmir Despatch said authorities only leaving us to suffer as we have to travel 2 kilometers by foot to reach Baramulla market where we are taking tuition.
Sajad Ahmed a local resident said that patients especially children, faced trouble to reach hospital and back home as major link roads were not cleared after the snowfall in the Baramulla parts.
Despite repeated attempts officials at R&B Baramulla were not available for commits.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G,N. Ittoo said that efforts are on to restore all essential services including all link and inner link roads in the district at earliest.
