SRINAGAR : As part of the ongoing celebrations commemorating ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Air Force Station Srinagar, will conduct an air show at Dal Lake in Srinagar on the 26th of September 2021.
The air-force is said to be holding the event to motivate the students to consider a career in the Indian air force. Accordingly, the students would be appraised on the ways to get into the flight and aviation schools in India. Apart from 700 teachers, more than 3000 students are expected to attend the event.
In view of the agenda of the event, the theme of the show has been set: ‘Give Wings to Your Dreams’. To discuss the student participation, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, P.K. Pole, held a meeting on Tuesday with principals of various educational and highlighted the importance of the event.
The event being organized in collaboration with J&K Govt will be flagged off by Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre. The display will include fly-past by various aircraft of the IAF. The spectators would also get to witness para-motor flying and IAF’s sky diving team Akash Ganga in action. ‘Ambassadors of IAF’, Suryakiran Aerobatic Display Team will be performing in the valley after a gap of 14 years. The Symphony orchestra of IAF would also be performing at the event. The event would also consist of a photo exhibition depicting the history of IAF. The event would also help boost tourism in Kashmir.
