Jammu, Dec 29 : Alert troops of Army on Thursday opened fire after witnessing a suspicious movement along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Army troops this evening observed suspicious movements on LoC in Poonch sector.
They said that the troops fired some rounds towards the Pakistan side with small calibre weapons.
Sources, however, said that no further engagement or retaliation was reported when the report was last filed.
The fresh firing came a day after security forces gunned down four heavily armed militants in Sidhra area of Jammu.
The high-alert was sounded for the forces and especially for border sectors—(KNO)
