SRINAGAR, December 06: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday condemned the blasphemous caricatures published by a private company in the school textbooks.
In a statement issued here, Bukhari demanded stern action against the people responsible for this sacrilegious portrayal of the revered Prophet.
“Such actions are detrimental to the communal harmony and the perpetrators of this heinous crime should be booked and brought to justice,” he observed.
Bukhari urged the government to take a serious note of this incident and ensure the circulation of such textbooks are stopped and the copies distributed in the market are ceased immediately besides taking a strong action against the publication house.
He also appealed to the people not to fall prey to such provocations and maintain calm in the prevailing situation.
