Altaf Bukhari led group likely to launch party next week in Srinagar

Jammu, Feb. 11 : After days of speculation, the Syed Altaf Bukhari led group of mainstream politicians is likely to launch a new political party next week for which the final arrangements have been set afoot.


News agency quoted sources from the party as saying that the draft committee of the group has almost finalised the drafting of Constitution and has even proposed a couple of names for the new party .

The group-according to sources, would be meeting again on Wednesday in Jammu in order to give nod to the proposal of the draft committee which has prepared the constitution, besides discussing the other arrangements.
Sources in the group said to News Agency that it was likely that the name and the flag of the party would also be finalised in tomorrow’s meeting . They also maintained that the Party would be launched during a function at Srinagar most probably next week , but added that the final dates would be known only after the Wednesday meeting .


” The preparations for the launch have already began and we may announce the launch as soon as next week . But the exact dates would be decided during the tomorrow’s meeting only. One thing is but clear, that the function would be held in Srinagar.” One of the leaders who is privy to the developments told.
