Another COVID-19 related death in Kashmir, J-K toll rises to 63

Srinagar, June 15: A 80 year man from south Kashmir’s Shopian district, died at chest disease Hospital Srinagar on Monday evening taking the disease toll in J&K to 63, officials said.

Medical Superintendent at CD hospital Saleem Tak confirmed to Kashmir Despatch about the fresh COVID-19 death said a 80 year old patient from Shopian who was a diabetes and hypertension died this evening. He said with this fresh death Kashmir recorded third death in a day.

Earlier a 70 year old Chadoora resident and an 18 year old boy from Handwara, who had received grievous injuries died after his condition deteriorated and also tested positive for COVID-19.

J&K has so far reported 63 Covid-19 deaths comprising 56 in Kashmir and seven in Jammu region.

Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 183 fresh COVID-19 positive cases among 79 CRPF men.
