Date:

Jammu, Apr 05 : PDP got another jolt in Jammu and Kashmir after senior PDP leader and Ex-MLC, Surinder Chaudhary joined BJP along with more than a dozen other leaders in Jammu and Tuesday.

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh welcomed them into the party fold at a function in Jammu and said that the development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ushered in a new era following which BJP has been gaining popularity in the Union Territory.

Focusing his attack on Abdullah and Mufti families, Chugh said it was time Hitlers of J&K are exposed because they promoted family business and exploited the state resources in the last six decades.

He said the struggle launched by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee to give honour and respect to the people of J&K has reached fruition under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chugh said the BJP has transformed J&K from a terrorist to a tourist state and the youth have been given laptops and computers instead of grenades and stones.

“The prime minister’s dream needs to be realised and we should all work for it,” Chugh told the party workers.

Notably, Surinder Choudhary, who was the ex-member of legislative council in the last government resigned from PDP as general secretary and member of political affair committee (PAC)

He had got 28000 votes on PDP mandate and stood runner up from Nowshera constituency of Rajouri district.

Choudhary is also general secretary of J&K Jat Sabha and his candidates won BDC chairman and DDC member elections from Nowshera.
