Army officer injured in accidental fire during CASO in Budgam

Srinagar, June 21 : An army officer was injured in an accidental fire during cordon and search operation in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday evening.

An official told Kashmir Despatch, an army officer was injured when his service rifle went off accidently during a cordon and search operation at Watmagam area of Budgam.

The officer was rushed to MI hospital for treatment and is said to be stable.

A police officer also confirmed this incident to Kashmir Despatch.
