Man-eater leopard shot dead by Wildlife officials in Kulgam

Kulgam, June 21 : A man-eater leopard was shot dead by wildlife authorities in South Kashmir’s Kulgam village on Sunday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a man-eater leopard which was surfaced at Hallan Noorabad shot dead by wildlife authorities.

Incharge wildlife officer Kulgam, Imtiyaz Ahmad Naik confirmed to Kashmir Despatch said the leopard was killed following complaints of frequent sightings and attacks on people in the area

The man-eater was killed after intensive combing and search operations conducted by the wildlife staff.

Pertinently, A Leopard stole a two-year-old boy from his house in South Kashmir’s Kulgam earleir this week and left behind his half eaten body in nearby forest.

As reported Kashmir Despatch a, 2 year-old kid identified as Mohammad Sharif Dragad son of Abdul Latif was stole by a leopard on Monday, however after night-long search the half-eaten body was found in the nearby forest next morning.
