Army Organises 2-day job fair in Boniyar

Srinagar, Dec 02: The Dagger Division of Pir Panjal Brigade organised a two-day Job Fair at Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Boniyar, on Friday and Saturday with aim to connect local youth with job opportunities, and around 2500 youth attended, with 750 job vacancies available.

According to a statement, In collaboration with the Directorate of Employment, J & K, the Job Fair included employers from the region and beyond, offering jobs in areas like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, and Handlooms.

During the event, they also shared information about schemes for self-employment and financial aid. Private companies joined too, offering jobs to both skilled and unskilled individuals.

Online interviews were conducted using a new IT Lab, and the Job Fair included distributing appointment letters and supporting Vocational Training Centres through Corporate Social Responsibility donations.

This initiative by the Indian Army aims to boost the local economy and strengthen bonds with the community.
