Army provides two electric transformer to Pulwama residents

Srinagar : Responding to the numerous representations of people of Dogripora village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district suffering from frequent power outages, the Army has dedicated two 100 KVA electrical transformer to the Awaam of the village.

An Army official told Kashmir Despatch as a part of Op Sadhbhavana army’s 55 RR (Grenadiers) under the aegis of 12 Sect RR installed a new level electric transformer in two number in the village.

These two transformers will augment the existing one which, were not able to cope up with the load of over 100 houses and help provide the people uninterrupted power supply officer said.

Meanwhile the residents were unanimous in landing this initiative by the Army which they said will bring succor to all especially the youth which faced hardship in their studies due to irregular power cut.

On the occasion of installation, officials in Army, PDD besides large gathering of people were present there.

It is pertinent to mention here the army unit in the area had played a vital role in civil section and always tried to provide helping hand for the betterment of general public.
