Sports a potent tool for Personality Development: DC
BARAMULLA, FEBRUARY 22: Continuing its efforts for the promotion and development of sports in the district, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today kick-started inter block indoor sports competition, here in the Indoor Sports Stadium.
The competition marked the overwhelming and enthusiastic participation of young players from various blocks of the district.
Event is being organized by the district administration in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports, Baramulla under the centrally sponsored scheme ‘Khelo India’.
The sports events being organized include Kick boxing, Wushu, Kabaddi and other indoor games with the theme ‘Sports for Peace and Development’ in which around 500 players from various blocks of the district are participating.
Terming the sports as a potent tool for overall personality development, the DC said that district Baramulla is endowed with enormous sports potential which needs appropriate platform.
