Assistant Drugs Controller, Srinagar chaired meeting with Pharma Trader Fraternity in Sopore

Sopore : Assistant Drugs Controller, Srinagar on Tuesday chaired a meeting with the stakeholders of Pharma Trader Fraternity in Sopore town of North Kashmir to sensitize them about the Sale/Distribution Pattern/ Tracking of Drugs comprising of Habit Forming ingredients.

The meeting was convened by the Foods and Drugs administration under the chairmanship of Assistant Drugs Controller Srinagar, Mohammad Younis wherein representatives of Pharmaceutical depot holders along with their authorized stockists and prominent retailers were present.

During the meeting, the officer impressed upon the Trade Fraternity to coordinate with a missionary and human approach so that misuse of drugs comprising habit forming ingredients is eradicated from the society by way of maintaining complete sales records of such drugs so as to ensure that these formulations are made available to the needy patients only and shall in no way find a place for pilferage into the hands of antisocial elements.

He also impressed upon the Trade Fraternity to dispense such drugs strictly under rules to the needy patients only, failing which action as contemplated under relevant provisions will be initiated against the defaulters.

Besides Asst Drugs Controller Srinagar, Drug Inspectors including Shabir Ahmed Pandit, Junaid Naseer, Mohammad Yousuf Sumji and Shabir Ahmed Bhat were present during the meeting.
