Baramulla, May 01: In a major relief to the people of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and also police department as the cop who became the first victim of this deadly virus in the district has now tested negative.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch, Friday evening brought a ray of light on the faces of a red zone declared village Malpora Narwav when a cop who was earlier diagnosed positive for COVID-19 now has turned negative.
A health official also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch said it’s really a great sign of relief for the people of Baramulla and especially for the police department as a cop now has turned negative. The doctor said yesterday his sample was sent and today reports came negative.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 is heading forward and adding more fuel by contaminating many people across the Sopore belt, authorities have traced out new 71 suspects, and samples of all have been taken and reports are awaited.
Pertinently, One person tested positive for coronavirus on Friday in SKIMS taking the total toll in Baramulla district to 101.
The total toll of COVID-19 tally now stands at 639 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
