Injured in Pak shelling in Uri , two soldiers succumbs

Srinagar, May 01 : Two soldiers who were injured in Uri sector after Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire succumbed to Injuries late this evening.

An official told Kashmir Despatch Two soldiers identified as Havaldar Gokharan and Nayak Shankar Kumar have succumbed to their injuries while other two soldiers who identified as Narayan Singh and NK Prodeep Kumar are undergoing treatment and both are said to be stable he added.

Earlier this evening Srinagar based Army Spokesperson Rajesh Kalia in a statement said Pak violates ceasefire in Rampur Sector(J&K) On 01 May 2020, at about 1530 hours, Pakistan initiated an Unprovoked Ceasefire Violation (CFV) along the LoC in Rampur Sector, District Baramula (J&K). Three soldiers have been injured in the CFV. Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.

Pertinently, Four civilians were also injured and two houses were damaged in the cross border shelling along line of control LOC in Hajipeer sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.
