In order to eradicate the menace of drugs, Pulwama police launched a drive in in Litter and its adjoining areas, destroyed wild bhung spread on about 06 kanals of land.
A police spoksperson said continuing with its drive against narcotics in the district the police team from Police Station Litter along with local youth (NGO group) destroyed bhung cultivation in the area.
The residents of the district have hailed the police action against narcotics the spoksperson added.
Meanwhile, Police in a message said community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
