Ramban, Jan 31 : The District administration of Ramban has acted promptly to the recent blasphemy incident involving Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on a social media platform and registered an FIR (First Information Report) against the perpetrators.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the District administration of Ramban has swiftly filed an FIR against the perpetrators under sections 295-A, 153-A, 298, and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The official said that the charges include offenses related to hurting religious sentiments, promoting enmity between different groups, malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings, and making statements conducive to public mischief.
Hs said these legal actions aim to ensure that those responsible for the blasphemous act face appropriate consequences within the framework of the law.
Meanwhile, The Deputy Commissioner of Ramban as per news agency Kashmir Scroll reaffirms a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of provocative behavior that disrupts communal peace.
The DC urged the public to respect the sentiments of all communities. (KS)
