Collision leaves 4 tourists, 2 drivers injured in Sonmarg

Sonmarg, July 21: The collision between two vehicles left two drivers and four tourists injured in summer hill station of Sonmarg here in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that there was a collision between an Innova (JK05B/9390) and a Tata Sumo (JK07/0924) resulting in injuries to four tourists and two drivers of both vehicles.

Both speeding vehicles suffered partial damage while besides 4 tourists, drivers of both vehicles identified as Muhammad Ashraf Tedwa and Irfan Ahmed Var, both residents of Rezan Gund Kangan were injured.

The injured were taken to Primary Health Centre Sonmarg where doctors referred them to SKIMS Soura. The injured tourists who hail from Jaipure Rajhstan were identified as Yogesh Tripati son of Shanker Lal, Sharma Srikant Sharma son of Mahesh Shand Sharma, Poonam Sharma daughter of Mahesh Chand Sharma and Shubam Tripati son of Shanker Lal Sharma.
