Srinagar, April 25 : Two complaints were lodged against the chief editor and managing director or Republic TV, Arnab Goswami in northern region of Kashmir on Saturday.
In Handwara, Jammu Kashmir Zamindar Forum lodged a complaint against TV Anchor Arnab Goswami at Police Station Handwara for relating Palghar mob lynching incident to Muslim community. The Forum has requested police to register an FIR against ‘communal’ anchor Goswami for trying to create a wedge between Muslims and Hindus in India.
“Please lodge a case against Arnab Goswami, co-founder of ‘Republic TV’ under section 117, 120B, 153, 153A, 295A, 298, 500, 504, 505 and 506 of Indian penal Code,” reads the complaint filed by JK Zamindar Forum President Abdul Hamid Malik which lies with Kashmir Despatch.
In another complaint which was lodged in Baramulla police station by Congress leader and Sarpanch seeking FIR against TV Journalist Arnab Goswami.
They said the anchor is always provoking people and is threat to peace and amity in country, so we seeking a FIR against him.
Meanwhile a police officer while confirming to Kashmir Despatch said we recieved complaints against the TV anchor and will look into the facts.
