Cong asks BJP to explain its sharing power with PAGD parties in Kargil Hill Council

Date:

Srinagar, Nov 23 : Congress on Monday asked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to explain its power sharing with the parties of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) in Kargil Hill Council before raising questions to the Congress party which has history of sacrifices for the unity and integrity of the Nation.

In a statement, Congress questioned double standards of the BJP, as the Party is sharing power with PDP and NC in the Kargil Hill Council contrary to its public posturing against patriotic credentials of two of its alliance Partners in the Hill Council with an attempt to exploit the sentiments of the people.

JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that this exposes the double standards and falsehood as well as political opportunism of the ruling BJP.

BJP should explain its position and should have come out of the Coalition Govt before questioning other parties especially Congress party, which is only limited to electoral seat sharing at few places in J&K without being part of the alliance, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson said.

Sharma said that BJP always befools and exploit people for electoral gains while reminding in 2014 elections BJP not only mainly campaigned to stop PDP from coming to power and secured mandate from Jammu at this slogan, but later shared power with the same Party for almost over three years betraying the mandate of the people.
