
The spokesperson Jammu and Kashmir Congress Sheikh Aamir Monday filed a complaint in Police Station Baramulla against BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma. The BJP spokesperson has been accused of abusing Prophet Muhammad in an interview given to a private channel and hurting the sentiments of Muslim community.
The Congress Kashmir Spokesperson took to microblogging site twitter saying that he filed a complaint with Baramulla Police Station against BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma following the inflammatory remarks she made on a prime time debate on Friday.
Sheikh Aamir is the first Kashmiri political leader to file a complaint against the BJP national spokesperson.
Notably, two separate FIRs against Nupur Sharma were lodged at Mumbai’s Pydhonie and Thane Police Station under sections 295A (hurting religious feelings), 153A (promoting enmity) and 505B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the derogatory remarks on the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
