Budgam, Apr 26 : Police arrested two persons including a cop and recovered contraband substance from their possession during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official source told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that patrolling party of police station Chadoora stopped an Alto Vehicle bearing Registration Number JK04E 9628 for checking on Nagam-Hayatpora road near Tangnar crossing and during the search of vehicle, 69 kgs of Poppy straw and a cash of 55000 was recovered from their possession.
He identified the duo as Mohd Ayoub Beigh Son of Mohd Jamaal Beigh a resident of Nowhar Chadura who is working as in Police department and is currently posted at district police Line (DPL) Budgam and Nazir Ahmad Shaikh son of Mohd Shafi Sheikh a resident of Tangnar Chadura.
Accordingly, a case under FIR 69/22 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation has been initiated—(KNO)
