2 Sopore active militants arrested in Pattan : Police

Pattan : In a major development, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested two active militants in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that following specific input about the move of two to three militants in Hanzivira area of Pattan, a joint operation was launched by Police, Army’s 29 RR and CRPF.

The officer said during the course of action two militants of Jash-e-Muhammad militant outfit were arrested along with two pistols, ammunition and grenades.

The officer while sharing the further details of arrested militants as Aqib Mohammad Mir son of Mohammad Ramjan Mir of Bhatpora Sopore and Danish Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar of Chankhan Sopore.

In this regard a case has been registered and further investigation has been set into motion the officer added.
