Two years have sped by but the Covid-19 pandemic is still haunting the our lives. So many people have lost their loved ones and many were unable to even bid farewell to their family members and friends.
Covid-19 has changed our outlook on life and has made us realise that even after achieving so much success in the fields of technology and health care, a natural virus has enough potential to bring the humanity in its knees.
It humbled the humans who were so proud of their discoveries and breathtaking inventions. It gave us the time to think that how mankind has ceaselessly used the natural resources for their own benefits while neglecting its impact of the remaining biodiversity.
Pertinently, even after the extensive vaccination drives and implementation of requisite standard operating procedures, the Covid virus keeps on coming back with waves that should make us realise it is here to stay now.
Many doctors in Kashmir have also spoken candidly about its nature while confirming it to become something common as a cold or seasonal flu. All what is required is to strictly adhere to the COVID guidelines issued by the government and get innoculated as soon as possible.
The omicron variant has been declared as highly contagious but its fatality is still low even than its predecessor variant the Delta. This maybe one of the prime reason why there is a huge surge in COVID cases across Kashmir but there are very few hospitalizations.
This indicator shows that the patients contracting Covid-19 are far more stable than before and with collective efforts to stop its further step, humanity can easily win over this virus.
