Srinagar, April 14: As COVID-19 is posing its threat across the valley but some group of miscreants is not bothered about the happenings going around, which is not only posing a negative impact on the general public but also misleading them with fake Information.

Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal again has been targeted by a group of the insensitive behavioral group, they use to pretend like spokesperson and violating the norms by sharing unlawful messages over social media.
Rohit Kansal again warned them with a tweet as saying I am told that some Twitter handles impersonating my account are carrying some Fake news regarding the internet. Please Note. I have not made any statements. He said fake handles have been reported for action. Added that we will also be taking action as per cyber laws.
It’s very unfortunate during this pandemic spare of time rumor-mongers are not learning a lesson and are spreading fake and baseless information that not misleads communities but also defaming the reputation of reputed reasonable persons.
Pertinently, Kashmir’s police cyber cell is continuously monitoring and at the time had arrested as many as miscreants who were misusing social media.
Superintendent of Police Cyber cell Kashmir Zone Tahir Ashraf when contacted told Kashmir Despatch, it’s unfortunate this bunch of people not learning a lesson, he said will look into the matter. SP Tahir added I personally appeal to everyone make proper use of Internet and social media. He said some months ago everyone was appealing for restoration of internet services in Kashmir and when it got restored why not make proper use of it. He in his message appealed to the general public to make good use of social media platforms, spread the good news, spread positively, do not believe and do not share fake information. He said anybody doing any mischief, doing anything illegal which is against the law will be dealt with strictly and will be booked as per the law.
