COVID-19 Lockdown : 15 tippers seized for illegal mining in Baramulla

Baramulla, June 02 : Amid COVID-19 lockdown, scores of loaded tippers were seized during the raids in various locations of the north Kashmir’s Baramulla town on Tuesday morning.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said, acting tough upon the complaints against illegal mining in the the Baramulla town, a team of police conducted raids across the town.

During the raids 15 tippers were seized for defying the restriction orders imposed by government in view of Covid-19 reports added.

Meanwhile Station House Officer Baramulla Syed Ghazanfar also confirmed to this newspaper and said following upon the complaints against illegal mining in the the town which was active since long 15 tippers were siezed during the raids sofar, he said a
case FIR number 69/2020 U/S 188, 269 IPC has been registered and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Officer also requested the general public to follow the restrictions imposed by Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and those who are violating the restriction orders will be dealt strictly.
