COVID-19 : Sopore student flees isolation ward in Aligarh, tracked, kept under home quarantine

SRINAGAR, March 21: A Sopore student under observation for suspected coronavirus infection in the isolation ward in Aligarh Muslim University has fled, on Friday has been tracked and kept under quarantine at his home in Sopore.

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch the student who fled from Aligarh was tracked on Friday and now have been kept under quarantine at home.

The officer said authorities in Kashmir already sounded a lookout for the people who are fleeing from isolation wards from different parts of the india.

Earlier, two other PHD scholars from Wagoora Baramulla fled from UHS isolation ward from Aligarh where they were kept for quarantine.

However, authorities tracked both the scholars and now their medical screening is under process.

Dr G N Itoo, Deputy commissioner Baramulla told Kashmir Despatch that the third scholar who had fled Aligarh Muslim University qurantine centre was from Warpora Sopore and has been kept under medical observation along with the other two students from Wagoora Baramulla.
