COVID19 Scare : Section 144 imposed in Baramulla, Sopore

Authorities in District Baramulla has imposed section 144 in Baramulla town and Sopore town to tackle the spread of the coronavirus.

In an order copy issued by Deputy commissioner Baramulla which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, Whereas, health advisory has been issued in view of the situation emerged due to spread of Corona Virus-lc which has affected several countries across the world, Whereas, it has been observed that the transmission of the said disease may increase rapidly in case prescribed preventive measures, protocols which includes avoiding of mass gatherings, are not followed strictly; Whereas, in the interest or public health and to prevent the spread of the disease. it has become imperative for the administration to restrict the mass gatherings crowds congregation/functions in the district.

Now, therefore in view of the above mentioned facts and circumstances I, Dr. G.N Itoo KAS District Magistrate Baramulla in exercise or powers vested in me under section 144 of Cr.P.C. do hereby impose restriction/ban over the assembly/gathering of more than 05 persons at any public place across in thc entire district Baramulla including all towns and villages with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders.

However, in case of emergency or special requirement, the concerned shall obtain prior permission from the undersigned. ADM or SDM concerned reads order copy.

Pertinently, on late Wednesday evening admin confirmed about the first COVID19 postive in Kashmir.
