Cricket Match for Visually Impaired held at Birla School Pampore

Special Secy YSS assures support to players

With an aim of promoting sports activities among persons with disabilities, a cricket match was organised by Birla Open Minds School Pampore in association with JK Blind Welfare Trust & J&K RTI Movement

The match was played between South 11 vs Central 11 and South 11 won the match with close margin. Lateef Bhatti from South 11 team who hails from Shopian was declared the man of the match.


Raja Waseem Special Secretary Youth Services and Sports YSS JK Government who was chief guest on the occasion assured full support to the visually impaired players and urged upon J&K Blind Welfare Trust and Birla Open Minds School Pampore to continue such programmes for welfare of persons with disabilities. He appreciated Dr Raja Muzaffar for encouraging blind youth to participate in sports activities especially playing cricket.
