Jammu 27 Feb : Senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today reminded central government to stay to its promise of restoring statehood in J&K without any further delay and said that it is surprising that the home minister of India is not fulfilling his promise made by him in the parliament last year and even this year too but still the promise is not been kept .Statehood to J&K should not be delayed further as it leads to further alienation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir On one side central government is committed to Statehood to J&K but on the other side LG led administration is changing laws and making amendments which is beyond their mandate.

As per the statement issued to Kashmir Despatch, Abdul Gani Vakil was addressing district committee and office bearers at PC headquarter Gandhi Nagar Jammu. While addressing the meeting. He asserted that PC will continue its struggle to convince and influence Central govt.for restoration of Art 370 and 35 A as it has all along been a bridge between J&K and rest of the country. Abrogation of art 370 was a big political blunder of BJP government as it has distanced the people of J&K from the mainstream which is in no way in the interest of nation.

Senior leader People’s Conference and Ex MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmed Dar while addressing the meeting lambasted both state and central government for not fulfilling its promise to provide employment to the educated youth. No doubt big statements are issued for providing jobs to educated youth but till today nothing is seen on the soil and only false promises are made in this regard.

The meeting was presided over by District President Jammu Shri Mohan Lal Radha, senior PC leaders Rajjnder Kaul, Ex Director Doordarshan RK Dhar, vice president capt.Rachpal Singh and General Secretary Rajpal Singh also addressed the meeting
