DGP sanctions meritorious scholarship for 15 police wards

Jammu, Feb 26 : Director General of Police Dilbag Singh Tuesday sanctioned meritorious scholarship in favour of police wards for securing above 80% marks in class 12th during the academic session 2018.


Rs. 7200/- each has been sanctioned to four meritorious wards for securing above 90% marks and Rs. 6000/- thousands each has been sanctioned in favour of twelve police wards for securing above 80% marks in class 12th. The scholarship has been granted out of Central Police Welfare Fund.
Police Headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships and rewards for wards of martyred and serving Police personnel under different schemes to boost their morale.


Meanwhile, Director General of Police (DGP) has also sanctioned cash reward of rupees five thousand along with commendation certificate class 1st in favour of SPO Gharu Ram number 1494/SPO-J. 


The reward has been sanctioned for the best performance of the SPO in regulating traffic movement at the heavily congested Paloura Chowk.
Cash reward and commendation certificate is sanctioned for the outstanding performance by police personal.SPO Gharu Ram who is presently deployed at Paloura Chowk and is regulating traffic movement at this heavily congested Chowk.
