District Admin refutes fake news uploaded on some news channels


Kupwara, April 30: District Adminstration Kupwara has refuted fake news reports uploaded by some news channels and a newspaper portal today.

The online portal of “The WEEK” news magazine and NDTV. Com, today mentions in their headlines that “5 killed, Several injured in landslides and flash floods in Kupwara of J&K” which are totally baseless.

Deputy Commisioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan said the headlines run by both the news channels are fake, fabricated and misleading as there is no flood related deaths in Kupwara district

Issuing a strong rebuttal of the fake news, DC said that no flood related deaths have occured in Kupwara district.

It is expected that before any news is uploaded or published, facts should be verified. However, the online Portal of said news magzine and news channel has failed in doing so.
