Div Com reviews measures to combat the spread of COVID-19

JAMMU, MARCH 14: Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma today reviewed the measures put in place to prevent the spread of Corona virus, here at a meeting with concerned officers.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Mission Director National Health Mission, Commissioner JMC, DIG Jammu, SSP Jammu, Director Heath Services, CMO Jammu and other concerned officers.

The Div Com took stock of preparations and measures put in place by administrations and health department to deal with situation. It was informed in the meeting that surveillance teams have been constituted in the districts besides help desks, monitoring points have also put in place for monitoring of passengers having foreign travel history.

DC Jammu informed that order has been issued for closure of shopping Malls, Gyms, recreational clubs as precautionary measures besides she also informed that proper screening of passenger is being conducted at airport and railway station by filling of self declaration of forms mentioning their address contact numbers so that in future if they show any symptom can be traced.

The Div Com asked to share the information of suspected cases to the Deputy Commissioners of their respective districts. The Div Com also sought details of facilities being put in place for quarantine wards.

The Div Com also appealed the public to maintain social distance and avoid close distance. He also advised to reduce or cancel all avoidable gatherings as precautionary measures to combat the spread of virus.  The Div Com also asked for mass awareness among general public about the preventive measures to be taken to avert Corona virus infection.
