Says Home Minister’s statement before elections is just an attempt to deceive people

Sopore, Mar 28 : Former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, clarified on Thursday that the revoking of AFSPA in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir should not be misunderstood.
Speaking to the media during a workers gathering at Dak Bunglow Sopore, Omar as per Kashmir Despatch stated that Home Minister Amit Shah has not announced the revoking of AFSPA. He only mentioned that it will be considered in the future.
Abdullah expressed disappointment that the Home Minister suddenly spoke about considering the revoking of Afsapa prior to the Lok Sabha elections.
He mentioned the case of the Ladakh region, where the people were deceived with promises of the sixth schedule before the hill council development elections. However, after the elections, they did not receive what was promised.
Abdullah fears that a similar situation will arise after the parliamentary elections, with the BJP forgetting to revoke AFSPA once they are whitewashed in all five seats.
