Ease of Doing Business: DIC Bandipora organises awareness program

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 31: The Department of Industries Thursday held a seminar on ease of doing business at Mini Secretariat Bandipora with an aim to create awareness among the un-employed youth of District Bandipora regarding the incentives of various state and centrally sponsored Schemes for startups.

      General Manager DIC Bandipora Feroz Ahmad Mir was the chief guest on the occasion while other senior officials were also present on the occasion. The seminar was attended by a number of unemployed educated youth interested entrepreneurs and startups.

      Officials informed the participants about various central and state-sponsored schemes under which incentives are being provided to the startups by the Department for the upliftment of Industrial sector.

       Experts also highlighted the success stories of some of the industrial units and startups in Bandipora district to encourage the youth to start their income generating units.

      Officials said subsidy is being provided to the beneficiaries on the Purchase of machines, DG set, online monitoring system, pollution devices, 5% interest subsidy on working capital, allotment of land on subsidized rates, re-imbursement of 100% Insurance premium, re-imbursement of CGST and IGST and income tax for first five years and 3.67% employers contribution to the EPF in addition to Governments bearing 8.33% EPS and several other incentives.

      Various entrepreneurs from different blocks of the district participated in the camp and interacted with the officials and got information regarding the various schemes under MSME, PMEGP and REGP provided by the Department in order to set up their   own business ventures.

      General Manager DIC Bandipora Feroz Ahmad Mir deliberated on various Industrial Technologies, policies and procedures and their adaptation practices and intervention in the Industrial sector. He also stressed for the need of registering the Units in the Industrial Sector as the government facilitates the startups by providing numerous incentives.

      While urging the youth to become job providers instead of job seekers, Mir said the youth need to change the attitude and prefer to be entrepreneurs so that they not only get employment for themselves but also provide jobs for others. He said JK needs more job providers than job seekers and industrialization is the solution to the growing unemployment in the state. He said the government is providing incentives to attract more people to start industries in the state to curb unemployment.

      He urged youth to register themselves with District Industries Centre Bandipora and avail benefits from the ongoing schemes so that Industrial Development will take place in District Bandipora as well.
