Examination Alert: 1.6 lakh students submit examination forms for upcoming BOSE exam

Srinagar, Oct 23 :  At least 1.6 lakh students have submitted examination forms for the upcoming Board of State Education exams slated for November-December.

At a high-level meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan to review logistic arrangements for upcoming (BOSE) exams throughout the valley in which 1.6 lakh students will take part.

According to wire service—, during the meeting it was revealed that 1.6 lakh students would appear in upcoming BOSE examinations which will be held across 1502 centers.

The class 10th exams will commence from October,29 in which 65000 candidates would appear at 413 centers while as the class 12th exams will be held from October 30 in which 48000 students would appear at 633 centers and exams for class 11th would be held from November, 10 in which 47000 candidates will take part at 456 centers.

The Divisional Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to ensure proper heating, electricity, drinking water, transportation and other basic amenities for the participating students in the upcoming BOSE exams.

The Deputy Commissioners were directed to establish District Level Exam Control Rooms at each district.  The district officers of BOSE, School education, SRTC, and police besides revenue officials shall be the members of exam control rooms that will monitor arrangements on daily basis.

To stop copying and other unfair means, checking squads will be constituted at all centres regularly for taking a strict action on violators. It was also informed that Section CrPc 144 will be imposed at each examination centre.

The Divisional commissioner urged to adopt proactive approach and effective coordination for the smooth conduct of upcoming BOSE examinations across valley.

Meanwhile, the Deputy commissioner of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Pulwama, and secretary BOSE, Director Education, GM SRTC, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar and Budgam, Assistant Commissioner (Central) with Div com (K), Information and Police Officers and other concerned officials were present in the meeting whereas other Deputy Commissioners attended the meeting via video conferencing.
