Farooq Abdullah will be in jail soon, claims BJP

Date:

Srinagar, Oct 01: Bharatiya Janta Party on Saturday claimed that the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah will be in jail soon.

BJP’s General Secretary in charge of Kashmir Sunil Sharma made the comments and also claimed that Kashmiri people have rejected both opposition parties – the PDP and the NCP, News 18 reported.

The report quoting Sharma said that the ‘next Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir will be from BJP’ adding that the BJP will without a doubt form government in J&K and this would be painful for the opposition parties in the state to watch.

“Farooq Abdullah will be counting his losses sitting in jail,” the report quoted Sharma as saying. On Article 370, Sharma said, “Those who speak about the return of Article 370 are misleading the Kashmiri people. Opposition parties have their own agenda and are trying hard to keep their politics alive.”

Claiming that PDP is disrupting peace in the Valley, he said the Mehbooba Mufti-led party will now use the businessmen connected to the fruit industry.

Pertinent to mention here that Mehbooba Mufti had criticized the JK administration and GoI last week for not allowing the fruit-laden trucks to move on the Srinagar-Jammu highway accusing it of crushing the economy of the Valley.

The BJP member also made strong allegations against opposition parties alleging that the National Conference is involved in the ‘killing and looting’.–(Agencies)
