A Job fair was organised today by District Employment & Counselling Centre Baramulla for Jobseekers from the District .
The Joint Director Employment kashmir Mr Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad JKAS was the chief guest on the occasion interacted with job seeker and Employer said that more job fair will be organised in district in coming months and it will be regular feature of employment department.
On the Occasion Assistant Director Employment, DE&CC Baramulla Ms Rabia Iqbal emphasized upon the unemployed youth / Job seeker and Employers/Job providers to register themselves on employment portal www.jakemp.nic.in to bridge the gap between Employers and job seekers.
Around 11 employers from different sectors participated in the event which included companies like Tata Fairdeal Motors, LIC, Bajaj Allianze ,SRM WELKIN school, Aqua Impex Baramulla and others. More than 250 unemployed youth/jobseekers from the district participated in the event.
Around 50 youth were shortlisted by various companies for different jobs and 30 candidates registered themselves on the Employment Portal i.e. www.jakemp.nic.in on the spot.
Various company representative also addressed the youth and made them aware about the changing requirement of industry and job skills required for employment in the contemporary times.
The unemployed youth from district Baramulla expressed their gratitude to District Employment and Counseling Centre, Baramulla for organizing this job fair and bringing such type of event in their doorstep.
