Forces launch anti militancy operation in Sopore village

Sopore, Oct 24: Day after the surrender of two local militants in north Kashmir’s Sopore village,Government forces in the wee hours of Saturday laid siege to Harwan village in Zainageer belt of the town.

Sources told Kashmir Despatch that the army’s 22 RR, Jammu and Kashmir’s Counter Insurgency Group and other paramilitary forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Harwan village after inputs about presence of militants.

The door-to-door searches continued when reports last came in.

Pertinently, Two newly recruited Al-Badr militants Abid Mushtaq War and Mehraj ud din War, both residents of Wadoora on Thursday surrender in front of forces party in Tujjer area of Sopore town.
