Forces launch search operation in Sopore

Sopore, June 28 : Government forces on Sunday evening launched a cordon and search operation in North Kashmir’s Sopore village second time since late 24 hours.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a mixture of forces conducted searches in Bomai village of Sopore this evening and sealed all entry and exit points in the area.

A police officer said following inputs about the presence of militants a joint team of Army’s 22RR, Sopore Police and 179 BN CRPF launched search operation in Darpora Bomai.

It is pertinent to mention here that two local LeT militants were killed in 8-hour long gunfight at Hardishiva Sopore earlier this week.
