Funeral prayers in absentia held for slain Sopore militants in PaK: TuM

Srinagar, Dec 14: (GNS) The funeral prayers in absentia were offered at Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) after Friday prayers for the militants killed in a gunfight with government forces in Brath Kalan area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last night.

Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen chief and United Jihad Council (UJC) secretary general Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman in a statement issued to GNS paid tributes to slain militants Owais Ahmad Bhat alias Abu Bakar of Gund Brath Sopore and Tahir Ahmad Dar alias Abu Abdullah of Saidpora Sopore.

Sheikh Jameel said, “Every conscious person of Kashmir who wants to break the chains of slavery is a freedom fighter.”

Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen vice-chairman Abdul Shakoor also paid tributes to slain militants and pledged to take their mission forward.

The statement hailed the militants for giving a tough fight to Indian forces in the encounter. (GNS)
