Government Reduce The Gap Between Covishield Doses

Date:

NEW DELHI, June 11: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Mohfw) has once again reduced the gap between the first and second doses of Covishield. The gap of the second dose was increased twice, but this time the gap has been reduced. This is only for those, who are going on a foreign trip. After the new guideline, now there is no need to wait for 84 days for some categories. Now even after 28 days, the second dose of Covishield can be applied. However, the gap between two doses for Covaxin is still only 28 days. No changes have been made in it.

The gap of both the doses of Covishield has been changed for the third time. There was a difference of 28 to 42 days in the first vaccination in India, which started from 16 January. Then on 22 March this gap was increased to 6-8 weeks. After this, on May 13, this difference was reduced to 12-16 weeks
