Govt accords sanction for advance drawl of Rs 62 lakh in favour of Principal GMC Srinagar for procurement of lab items

Srinagar, Jan 13 : J&K government on Friday accorded sanction for advance drawl of over Rs 62 lakh in favour of Principal GMC Srinagar for procurement of lab items.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the advance drawl of funds amounting to Rs. 62.50 lakhs (Rupees Sixty Two Lakh and Fifty Thousand) only in favour of Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar, out of the available funds under Capex Budget below classification 17-4210-01-800-0011-0305-Medical College Srinagar, Detailed Head 115-Works, for further placement of these funds at the disposal of MD, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd, on account of procurement of lab items under the Scheme “Establishment of Skill Lab at GMC, Srinagar as per MCI norms” during 2022-23,” reads an order issued by Secretary Health and Medical Education.

The advance drawl as per order shall be subject to the conditions that these funds shall be placed with the Managing Director, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Limited during 2022-23 for procurement of lab items, the Chief Accounts Officer, Government Medical College, Srinagar shall vouchsafe the availability of funds for the purpose, The funds shall be utilized for the specific purpose without any diversion, all codal formalities / Procedures / standing orders shall be observed before making the purchases, The funds shall not be parked in the bank account unnecessarily and red Accounts of the advance drawl shall be furnished to the concerned quarters and Accountant General, J&K within the stipulated time.
