Grenade Blast In Anantnag, No Casualty Reported

Srinagar, April 25 : Militants on Monday evening hurled a grenade towards a police party in Padshahibagh area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

No one loss of life or injury was reported in the incident even as police party, mainly comprising its Special Operation Group, fired few rounds in air after the attack, official sources told GNS.

They said that grenade exploded at a distance from the police party and no casualty was reported. Later police, paramilitary CRPF and army’s 3RR cordoned off the area and started searches to nab the attack (s).

However when this report was filed, no arrested had culminated. A police officer confirmed to GNS the grenade blast and said that a case has been registered and further investigations are underway. (GNS)
