Gunfight rages in Budgam

Budgam, Oct 16 : An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that a gunfight rages in Chadoora area of Budgam on Friday morning.
He said earlier a joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
As search party encircled the target house hiding militants fired upon them thus triggering a gunfight.
A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that contact has been established and firing from both sides is on.
