Shopian, August 19: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that after hours search operation gunfight rages in Moolu Shopain.
He said contact has been established with the hidding militants and firing from both sides is on.
Earleir, a joint team of forces conducted searches in the area following inputs about the presence of some militants.
